Our chef was born, raised, and trained in Paris. He fell in love with Los Angeles, but not with the quality of its crepês. Tasteless and bland, typical crepês in his new home need toppings to be edible. No wonder! They are made from an industrial mix with just water added. He decided to sell crêpes from scratch: with real eggs, real almond milk, rice flour, and other ingredients. The crepês would be so delicious that they could be eaten without toppings. And as for the toppings, he would offer his own creations (e.g., the Darth Vader, the Hamburger Crêpe) along with traditional fare.
Our chef started selling crepês in the back of Pour Vous, a nightclub that catered to Hollywood stars and Angelinos in love with the glamorous ambiance. (See LA Weekly review here.) Halle Berry, One Direction, and many others came to taste his crêpes before the nightclub closed in 2020.
Ice Crêpes are a new act of love for Los Angeles and its people. Gourmet crêpes should be available for everyone, and now they are.
